NFL Week 16 Sunday Picks

Yesterday wasn’t a bad day. Lost the Miami-Las Vegas game by the dreaded hook but I digress.

Sunday is here. Lets roll!

Cleveland Browns -6.5  at New York Jets

The Jets are actually trying folks! That shouldn’t shock anyone. Why would Sam Darnold sign up for the Trevor Lawrence sweepstakes? How would a winless season help Adam Gase at his next job?

The Browns are closing in on a playoff birth for the first time since 2002. With a banged up offensive line, Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt will have to be efficient with their carries. The Browns are 10-1 when either one scores a touchdown.

In his last three games, Baker Mayfield has thrown 10 touchdown passes and just one interception.

Pick: Cleveland -6.5

Indianapolis Colts -1 at Pittsburgh Steelers

Even though the Steelers have been sliding, the line opened with Pittsburgh being favored by a field goal. On Wednesday, the Steelers had the dreaded players-only meeting led by Ben Roethlisberger. According to Roethlisberger, “it wasn’t a players-only panic meeting.”

If you take the future hall of famer at this word, this looks like a good bounce back spot for Pittsburgh.

The Colts have won five of their last six as they look to be headed towards the playoffs.

Pick: Pittsburgh +1

Los Angeles Rams +1 at Seattle Seahawks

The Rams lost to the Jets last week. THE JETS. If this was Hollywood, you would see a sappy coach’s speech about opportunity and the Rams would go to Seattle and win.

This isn’t Hollywood though. Seattle has a lot of play for. Yes, they’ve clinched a playoff spot but they are only one game ahead of the Rams, having already lost their first meeting.

Pick: Seattle -1
