Bias headed to National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame

Len Bias is finally heading to a place most thought he already was… the National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame.

“It’s a well-deserved honor and well overdue,” said Maryland head coach Mark Turgeon. “It’s great news for the Maryland program and for all those associated with Len.”

Bias is third all time on the Terps scoring list with 2,149 points.

During his collegiate career, Bias was well accomplished.

  • 2 ACC Player of the Year awards
  • 2 All-ACC First Team selections
  • 2 All-America honors (1985 and 1986)

Bias will go in with David Greenwood (UCLA), Hershey Hawkins (Bradley), Jim Jackson (Ohio State), Antawn Jamison (UNC), Paul Pierce (Kansas) and coaches Rick Byrd and Tom Penders.
