For one year, Notre Dame will be part of the conference. The unique circumstances was driven by the restrictions brought on by Covid-19.
The ACC will benefit from the Fighting Irish playing additional games in the conference. For the first time, the games against Notre Dame will count in the standings.
The Fighting Irish will be eligible for the ACC Championship.
