The Washington Wizards announced that Bradley Beal is out for the rest of the season with a shoulder injury. Because Beal is out with an injury, he will still be paid and the Wizards will not be able to replace his roster spot.
“Bradley did everything possible to be ready to play, but after closely monitoring his individual workouts we came to the conclusion that it was best for him to sit out the upcoming games in Orlando and avoid the risk of further injury,” said Wizards General Manager Tommy Sheppard.
Without Beal and Davis Bertans, the Wizards have a gaping hole on offense. The ninth place Wizards have a chance to make the playoffs but it will be difficult without their two best scorers.
