Georgetown Hopes to Break Losing Streak

When you have the injuries Georgetown has, the last thing you want to do is have to go on the road to break a four game losing streak. What makes it worse is the Hoyas will face a motivated Creighton (11-5, 22-7) team. The Blue Jays are coming off a 91-71 loss to St. John’s.They are tied for second with Villanova, two games behind Seton Hall.

The Hoyas ((15-14, 5-11) are looking to bounce back from a heartbreaking 66-63 home loss to Xavier. Jahvon Blair led the Hoyas in scoring with 18. Senior Jagan Mosely had 11 points and 7 assists.

In the first meeting, Georgetown would win an exciting 83-80 game. Five Hoyas scored in double-digits led by Omer Yurtseven’s 20 points. There’s no update on Yurtseven’s availability for the rematch. Marcus Zegarowsk led the Blue Jays with 20 points. All six of his made field goals were three-pointers.

Georgetown’s NCAA tournament hopes are all but gone unless they make an incredible run in the Big East tournament. ESPN’s Joe Lunardi has Creighton as a 4 seed.
