Every game is a must win for the Hoyas
Georgetown needs to go 6-2 in their last eight conference games if they want to get to .500 in the conference. That would go a long way towards any at-large bid hopes the Hoyas have.
In that eight game stretch, they’ll get last place DePaul (13-10, 1-9) twice. The Blue Demons started off the season hot with wins at Iowa, Boston College, and Minnesota along with a win over Texas Tech. DePaul’s lone conference win came against Butler.
Junior Paul Reed (15.7 ppg, 10.8 rpg) leads a DePaul that has four players averaging in double-figures.
All eyes will be on Mac McClung. He’s still listed as day-to-day. Without him, Georgetown has fallen behind by 17 to St. John’s and 16 to Seton Hall. The Hoyas split the two games but falling behind by that margin is a dangerous game to play.
If McClung in unable to go, Omer Yurtseven will be the focus of the offense. Even if Yurtseven has a big game, the Hoyas will need to get scoring from at least, two of the three following players: Jagan Mosely, Jahvon Blair, and Jamorko Pickett.
