Garcia has a lot on the line against Ivan Redkach
Like most of the top fighters in the welterweight class, Danny Garcia (35-2) wants a match with champion Errol Spence.
A win over Ivan Redkach (23-4-1) will probably put him as Spence’s next opponent, provided the champ has all of the necessary medical clearances but Garcia isn’t looking ahead. “I know that you can’t overlook anyone. I’m totally locked in on Ivan, and that’s it,” said Spence.
If Spence isn’t ready to go, Manny Pacquiao and Keith Thurman’s names will be bantered around. One of Garcia’s two setbacks was a split decision loss to Thurman. Garcia’s other loss came at the hands of Shawn Porter.
Prediction:
Redkach should give Garcia little to no issue. This definitely is shaping up as a showcase fight for the former champion.
