GW Announces Out of Conference Schedule

George Washington announced their out of conference schedule. It is highlighted by November 9th’s game against Howard. On that night, the Colonials will induct Pops Mensah-Bonsu and Mike Hall into the school’s Hall of Fame.

Howard is one of four local schools GW will play. American University and Morgan State make trips to the Smith Center. GW is slated to travel to Towson.

The schedule continues to pick up from there when GW participates in the Bahamas Showcase. The 3-Game guarantee event kicks off with University of Missouri-Kansas City. The other teams in the tournament are Liberty, East Carolina, Evansville, Milwaukee, Morgan State and Rice.

The Colonials won’t get much rest. After the trip to the Bahamas, GW will travel to Columbia, SC to face South Carolina.

VCU Completes Coaching Staff

VCU Head Coach Mike Rhoades completed his staff with three new additions.

Daniel Roose (Director of Sports Performance) – Roose has a history with VCU. He was at the school from 2009-2015 before leaving for Texas with Shaka Smart

Lamont Moore (Director of Student-Athlete Development) – Moore will help student-athletes develop off the court. This will include community service. He previously worked as a graduate assistant under Rhodes.

Chris Gaines (Video Coordinator) – Gaines served as a manager for four years. As video coordinator, Gaines will record and edit practices and games.
