VCU was in the news yesterday as the Emerald Coast Classic announced their match-ups. The Rams will face Purdue on November 29th at 9:30. The game will be broadcast on CBS Sports Network.
VCU will play either Florida State or Tennessee the next day.
Just like most tournaments, there is an on-campus phase of the tournament. For VCU, their opponents will be Jacksonville State on November 17th and Alabama State on November 23rd.
In other news, Marcus Evans has been invited to Chris Paul’s annual CP3 Elite Guard Camp. The camp is held July 18-21 in Winson-Salem. Twenty players are chosen to attend the camp.
Last season, Evans led the Rams in points, assists, and steals.
