NCAA Tournament: South Region

South Region

Best Player: Kyle Guy

Kyle Guy’s offense could be the difference between UVA coming up just short or making it to the title game. Guy has career highs in every offensive category. For all that’s made out of the Pack-Line, it will be the Cavaliers ability to score that will make the difference. We’ve seen it in the NCAA tournament before. One guy isn’t going to win the tournament but he’ll be the major difference to his team. That’s Kyle Guy.

He will need to win UVA a couple of games in the tournament

Upset: Oregon over Wisconsin

Oregon over Wisconsin edged out ODU over Purdue. The Ducks come in with some momentum.

They’ve won eight in a row, and yes, you can say it’s the Pac-12 but it gives a talented team some confidence. They’ll have to find a way to contain Ethan Happ but, most of all, they can’t allow Happ to have help on offense. That means limiting guys like Khalil Iverson, D’Mitrik Trice, and Brad Davison. If they make sure none of the three truly impacts the game on the offense, the Ducks will pull off the upset.

Winner: UVA
