Team USA survives Exhibition against Canada

Team USA, represented by Purdue’s men’s basketball team, had to fight to beat Team Canada, 94-86, in an Exhibition played at Carmel High School. The Canadian National Teams have had a big summer in basketball and showed the strength of their program yet again.

Team Canada shot 52.6% in the second quarter in the second quarter and had a 43-42 lead at the half. But, Team USA tightened up their defense in the second half holding Team Canada to 33% shooting in the third quarter and had a 3 point lead going into the fourth. Another solid fourth quarter defensive performance buoyed the Americans to an 8 point win.

Team USA was led by Isaac Haas’ 20 points and 11 rebounds. Team Canada was led by their National Player of the Year, Conor Morgan. Morgan led Team Canada with 23 points and 12 rebounds.
