Penn State Wins in Double OT thriller

Penn State won there first game in the Bahamas but it wasn’t easy. The Nittany Lions needed double overtime to defeat an All-Star team from the New Providence Basketball Association (NPBA). Tony Carr hit a three pointer that broke a 105-105 tie. Tony Wheeler added a free throw to seal the win.

“I thought our kids showed some guts, and some heart, and, most importantly pride,” said Penn State men’s basketball coach Patrick Chambers. “It was definitely a difficult game. They were really talented, much older, much stronger, and they had some really good players, players who are on the (Bahamas) National Team. It was great preparation for us.”

Penn State will face Providence Storm on Tuesday, Aug. 8 at 6 p.m. ET. A live stream is scheduled and can be found at https://www.youtube.com/user/10thyearseniors1.
