Patriot League Notebook: Quarterfinals Results

The Patriot League Quarterfinals saw every home team come away with a win.

Navy 49 Holy Cross 42

Navy’s George Kiernan hit a 3-pointer with 30 seconds left to give the Midshipmen a win in Annapolis. After Karl Charles tied the game at 42 with a three pointer, Kiernan came down and drained what proved to be the game winning basket. The Midshipmen ended the game on a 13-3 run.

Lehigh 77 Colgate 72

Tim Kempton led Lehigh with 20 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocked shots in the Mountain Hawks victory. Austin Price had a season high 27 points. Colgate’s freshman, Will Rayman ended his impressive season by scoring 20 points. The difference in the game was an 18-7 second half run for Lehigh.

Bucknell 78 Army 62

The top-seeded Bison to another step in the direction of making the NCAA tournament with a 16-point victory. Senior guard Stephen Brown hit four 3-pointers on his way to a 20-point night. The Bison dominated from jump and led by 18 at halftime.

Boston University 64 Loyola (MD) 60

Boston U has been a balanced club all season and Thursday night was no different. Kyle Foreman had 12 points and Justin Alston had 11. In what was a tight game, Boston U got an important jumper from Alston after Loyola cut the lead to two points with 1:25 left.
