Patriot League Notebook: Battle for Second

The turn has been made in the Patriot League as teams are facing opponents for the second time. The familiarity can be good and bad. With Bucknell running away with the conference the battle for second place is becoming more and more fierce. There are four teams separated by one game. Navy and Boston University sit at 8-4 in the conference while Loyola (MD) and Lehigh sit at 7-5.

Navy and Boston University split the season series. The Midshipmen still have Loyola (MD) at home and Lehigh on the road. Boston University also gets Loyola (MD) at home and both the Terriers and Midshipmen have Bucknell one more time.

Loyola (MD) somewhat controls it’s on destiny because they play Navy and Boston University one more time. It will be an uphill battle because both games will be on the road. And just like Navy and Boston University, the Greyhounds still have a date with Bucknell.

Lehigh’s next opponent is Bucknell. Next week, they’ll get their shot versus Navy at home.

Player of the Week: Andre Walker (Loyola-MD)

Rookie of the Week: Jordan Cohen (Lehigh)
